Join us for a fun search for American Woodcock, Wilson’s Snipe, and early spring migrants on this evening outing with our friends from BAGO (Be Active. Go Outside.). Let’s see who can “walk the walk”.
We are happy to partner on this field trips with BAGO which is an initiative between the Winnebago County Parks Dept., Oshkosh Recreation Dept., and pds.F.U.S.I.O.N.
RAIN DATE: Sat., Apr. 26
Location: Asylum Pt Park/Picnic Pt Wildlife Refuge
Directions: From Oshkosh take Bowen Street (County Road A) north to East Snell Road. Turn right on East Snell Road. At the T intersection, proceed to cross Sherman Road and park in the gravel lot where we will meet.
GPS Address: 3700 Sherman Rd, Oshkosh, WI 54901
Accessibility: Trail surfaces are highly variable. While the trails primarily consist of mowed grass lanes, the wooded portion is shaded with protruding roots and rocks. The woods frequently floods and can cause the trails to become muddy and slippery. Waterproof shoes might be a good idea.
