We will visit a different birding hotspot every Wednesday evening in May. We hope to see a variety of birds as the spring migration progresses, including thrushes, vireos, warblers, and sparrows. Join us each week to see what birds are migrating through our area.
Sheldon Nature Area
Directions: From I-41 in Oshkosh take Hwy 21 west to the second stop light (Oakwood Road). Turn right (north) on Oakwood Road and continue to the stop sign at Omro Road. Turn left (west) on Omro Road. Continue past the school and after the fourth house on the right, turn right (north) onto the drive to Sheldon Nature Area. We will meet in the parking area.
Accessibility: The main trail loop is approximately 0.75 miles long with a few benches at various points. The trail surface is flat throughout and primarily consists of well-packed crushed stone or gravel (95%) and hard-packed soil (5%).
