We will visit a different birding hotspot every Wednesday evening in May. We hope to see a variety of birds as the spring migration progresses, including thrushes, vireos, warblers, and sparrows. Join us each week to see what birds are migrating through our area.
Wiouwash Trail (Riverside Cemetery Section)
Directions: From I-41 in Oshkosh, take exit 120 for US-45 South/Algoma Blvd. Continue on Algoma Blvd for 0.1 miles. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Lake Butte Des Morts Drive. Turn left onto Marine Drive. Proceed to park perpendicular to the road on the right side or parallel to the road on the left side.
GPS Address: 2700-2832 Marine Drive, Oshkosh, WI 54901
Accessibility: This section of the Wiouwash is mostly flat with well-packed stone or gravel (85%). The first tenth of a mile can be muddy or slippery due to a higher percentage of hard-packed soil rather than actual gravel. While there’s generally enough room for bikes and joggers to pass, exercise caution and keep to the side of the trail as much as possible.
